A Snack Time Recipe of Chicken Pakoda a.k.a Pakora

For those who do not know, the term pakora or pakoda is an Indian rendition of fritters. Pakoda is a go-to dish in India during the Monsoon season. For fitness-conscious foodies, we have a chicken pakoda recipe, a lean meat option for snacking. Hence you usually need to deep fry these in hot oil. You may order chicken delivery online and get fresh chicken for preparation.

Ingredients Required for Making Chicken Pakoda:

  • 1 Packet of Zorabian Chicken Cubes (500 grams)
  • Oil for frying
  • Flour – 1 Cup
  • Besan – ½ Cup
  • Rice Flour – ½ Cup
  • Salt and Pepper – As Per Taste
  • Chilly Powder -2 Tablespoons
  • Turmeric, Cumin, and Coriander Powder- 1 tablespoon each
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tablespoon
  • Sugar – 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander (optional)
  • Eggs- 3 whole
  • Tomato Ketchup – Serve it As A Side.

Process of making it

The first thing you must do for the marinade is prepping the chicken. We have indeed mentioned that you need boneless chicken cubes in the recipe. However, you can also conveniently work with chicken with bone. In that case, ensure that the pieces are not very big.

To marinate, take the dry ingredients and ginger garlic paste, and mix them thoroughly before you add the wet ingredients.

The next thing you need to do is add the eggs, which will bind the entire mixture together. Ensure you keep the chicken in this marination for at least a couple of hours. It allows the chicken to be juicy and succulent. If you love the flavour of coriander, then you can chop it up and add it to the marinate itself. Do you notice that the chicken has soaked up all the marination nicely? Now, you next need to heat the oil in a big kadhai. After that, you need to add the chicken pieces one by one.

Try to pay attention so the chicken does not stick to each other. After you notice the chicken is turning brown on each side, you can turn it on the other side. Pay attention so that it does not burn very easily. Once done, line some tissue paper on the serving tray and soak the chicken pieces. You can add a side of ketchup and a salad to pair it up with the pakora. Make sure to serve the pakora hot and crispy, or it will turn soggy.
