Ingredients:

  • Pre-Cut Chicken Skinless – 1 Packet (500 grams)
  • Onions – 2 large, finely sliced
  • Tomatoes – 2 medium-sized, chopped
  • Green Chilies – 4, slit lengthwise
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste – 1 tablespoon
  • Curry Leaves – A handful
  • Mustard Seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin Seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fennel Seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red Chili Powder – 2 teaspoons
  • Coriander Powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Garam Masala – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt – To taste
  • Coconut Oil – 3 tablespoons
  • Lemon Juice – 2 teaspoons
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves – For garnish

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, and mustard seeds. Wait until they crackle.
  2. Add the sliced onions and sauté them until they become translucent.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté it for a minute.
  4. Add green chilies, curry leaves, and chopped tomatoes. Cook in medium flame until they become soft and release all the water.
  5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder and cook in low flame until the oil separates from the masala.
  6. Add garam masala and salt and cook for about a minute.
  7. Add the chicken pieces and coat them evenly with the masala.
  8. Cover and cook until the chicken is tender and the masala clings onto the chicken pieces.
  9. Add lemon juice and mix well. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
